Earlier this week I had the inspiration to do a post on how accessories can change what we are wearing. In my 11th outfit of the 30 for 30 challenge, my accessories made all the difference! Let me demonstrate:
Here we have a plain Jane outfit that I could go work in the yard in (if I did yard work - which I don't!):
Hmmm...what can we do with this outfit? Let's see, change the shoes, add a necklace, how about another necklace, add a belt, roll the sleeves up , add bracelets and ring, and voila!

Fantastic change-up! My friends and sisters are always nagging me to "show them how to wear jewelry," etc, and I'm just going to direct them here!
ReplyDeleteOne nitpicky change--I would wear a darker jean with that chambray shirt, for greater color contrast. That could also just be your flash (I know mine totally washes me out), but I thought it was worth a comment.
I totally agree about the darker jeans! Unfortunately, I don't have a darker pair in my 30 items, so I worked with the items I had. After the challenge I am definitely going with a darker pair with this ensemble. Thanks for the comment!

Terrific change! I will be copying this along with a few other outfits you've put together. This would very much improve the look of my chambray shirt that is a bit big on me.
