Happy Hump Day everyone! Last Saturday night my hubby and I went with a group of friends to an oyster roast at a local park. If you've never been to an oyster roast, I highly recommend going to one - even if you don't like oysters. The atmosphere is so fun - usually a little cold, relaxed, people are bundled up and bellied up to the oyster table shucking oysters, dipping them in cocktail sauce and throwing the shells. It's a dinner of oysters, cocktail sauce, saltine crackers and beer - yum! Since it was pretty chilly, I put on my trusty orange jacket and my new fingerless gloves that make me feel pretty bad ass! I wouldn't mess with me - would you?
And underneath the jacket is this ensemble:
jacket - Kohls
gloves - Target
white t-shirt - Kohls
olive sweater - Loft
jeans - loft
boots - Ecco
scarf - old - don't know where I bought it
necklace - Premiere Designs
You are so right, there is nothing like a fall oyster roast in the south. I love your whole outfit, but especially the jacket, Kathy! It's such a fantastic color for you.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that we all should own some things that are so timeless & versatile that we forget where we bought them, like that scarf.
J'adore. Love love love those glove glove gloves.
ReplyDeleteMerci!

Love that orange coat!!!
ReplyDeleteI am beyond jealous of your oyster roast! I ordered a dozen last week and dinner and I literally giggled when they were placed in front of me. Nothing quite like that sea flavor.

That orange coat is so so very cute! I've never been to an oyster roast...but I'll add it to my list of things to do.
