Tunic love.....

Do you ever go into a store not really searching for anything in particular, in fact not intending to buy anything at all, and spot an item you cannot leave the store without?  I found that item today, at Target!  I had a dentist appointment and needed to kill some time before meeting a girlfriend for lunch, so I browsed through Target.  I was about to leave the women's clothing department when out of the corner of my eye I spotted this:

It is so light and sheer  - great to wear as a top or a swimsuit coverup!  At only $29.99 it's a great deal!  I can't wait to wear it!

Bring a little spring into winter!

Don't you hate when all the stores start sending out ads and catalogs with fresh spring items and we are stuck bundling up with the same winter clothes we've been wearing for months?  Yesterday I pulled out this tunic that I wore last summer and threw a shrug on top for warmth.  I felt hip and fresh because it was something I have not worn all fall or winter! Try pulling out a spring or summer top from last year and throw a sweater or blazer over it.  Instant new outfit!  You're welcome!

The snood

Have you ever wanted to wear your summer tunic in the winter, but thought it was just to summery (I love making up words!)?  I have a solution!  Put a tank top underneath and throw on a snood?  What the heck is a snood you ask?  I had to look that one up myself, so let's all learn the word together, shall we?

From http://www.examiner.com/ :

"What is a snood do you ask?  The snood is a form of neck wear that can be worn like a scarf or pulled over the hair and lower face."

In my neck of the woods, we call it a circle scarf or infinity scarf - but isn't it fun to call it a snood!?  Here is my tunic with a snood:

If you want to purchase your own snood, these are some great options:

Stripes!

Welcome to a new week!   I hope you had a great weekend.   Have you guys noticed all the stripes going on out there?   They were big this summer and they are still going strong for the fall.   I just love them!  In fact, I love them so much I have to make myself  NOT  buy another striped shirt when I see one.   Well, as you can in this outfit that I failed miserably at not buying another striped shirt!   But, you see, this is a sweater really, not a shirt.   And it's longer than those other striped shirts I already own so I can belt it.   And it has cute cap sleeves and is comfortable and I can wear it with leggings and and......well, you see why I had to buy it.  Oh yeah, and it was on sale!   Welcome home new striped shirt/sweater!

Have you tried jeggings yet?

Hey guys!  I know the thought of pulling on a pair of jeggings gives some people nightmares, but it's a look you definitely out to try!  I was afraid of them too until a friend of mine insisted that I put them on (aren't some friends just pushy like that!?)  So I gave them a try and......these pants are comfy!  They are so versatile!  I just love them!  You can see how I styled them with a blazer here https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDA7ckvHxThyphenhyphenbKDYgqN0qjtbg3FVt53ui3_88kiJc5-s1xh3RKKyySF3zDibCZ-KClumpIGa9ez0kO_BGePHG9F4oApm41Dzpq-MK9DnBprYZpv-ef_CygAdB1yDChUV9tAtzWOmucmKg/s1600/IMG_3226.JPG and today I am going to try them with a flowy sheer tunic and suede flats.

Here is a closer look at my new fabulous tunic:

Well, what do you think?  When it gets a little colder here, you can wear long cardigans with them, long dolman sleeved sweaters, the possibilites are endless!  Give jeggings a try and then let me know how you feel about them!  If you have any other styling tips I'd love to hear them!
